We will present the many benefits of rapidly prototyping visualizations at early stages in a project. Indeed, building visual wireframes and low fidelity mockups allow more communications within and between teams, at low cost, and is possible if data are not available yet. This talk will also present how to progressively refine visualizations prototypes into more complex, interactive visualizations when design is settled and data become available, and how to implement them in D3 for the Web.
