John Plyler has extensive experience in leading Corporate Responsibility (CR) programs in the Information and Communications Technology industry with a specific focus in the last 10 years on the supply chain. He currently is managing BlackBerry’s global supply chain CR program where he is responsible for the design and implementation of processes and systems to drive program and vendor performance. Prior to joining BlackBerry in 2011, John had been with Motorola for over 16 years where he managed Environmental, Health and Safety teams, developed international standards and led product compliance activities. A specific focus for John for over five years has been collaborating with and leading industry efforts to develop the capacity to ensure responsible minerals sourcing including the issue of “conflict minerals.”
